Education for Green Collar Workers in Hawai‘i

Sustainability Education

Sustainable education requires a system of learning capable of not only meeting the needs of our children but also the needs of future generations of children. To retain our cultural and historical values, to become a global model of sustainability on Hawai‘i Island, we must create a global model for sustainable education.

Who Pays for Sustainable Education?

By raising this awareness we also create students for our classes. By delivering sustainability classes and events we are providing the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to create the global model we wish to further.

Each of our classes support greener economic models of self-sufficiency. Each of our classes are respectful of our Hawaiian culture and supportive of all cultures welcoming of aloha and lokahi. Each of our instructors are not only experts in their field of study but purveyors of lokahi and cultural awareness. Our instructors are among the brightest systems-thinkers in the world. So we have a starting point.

However, raising awareness and delivering sustainable educational programs is not free. The level we need to deliver isn’t funded. We cover much of our costs through student tuitions. Tuitions are simply not enough to support all of our sustainability efforts. So we work to build relationships with local businesses and deliver online websites and platforms which educate and support small business in their efforts to build greener local economies.

Our sustainable web community helps pay for some of our costs since the website development is devoted to continue our marketing and online business development workshops. We design, build and deliver these web platforms and include monthly classes to help small businesses learn to use the web to profit. This is an example of a green job that works.

We also accept donations from organizations that have learned to thrive in the most difficult times by consistently providing more service than is requested. If you wish to become one of our island’s sponsors of sustainability and our values are aligned, let’s work together to share this kuleana to create a global model for sustainability and sustainable education on Hawai‘i Island.

Together we will move beyond sustainability. Let’s learn to “thrive” by raising our own conscious awareness of our most challenging yet achievable goals. To thrive together in a culture of aloha we believe we must embrace both natural and digital sciences. Let’s support our younger, knowledge-based culture and help assure abundance for future generations.

Mahalo for being you.
