We all live in a competitive global economy. Sustaining ourselves simply isn’t enough. We must compete globally. We teach the basic offline and online skills you need to live a more sustainable life on Hawaii Island.
To help move beyond sustainability, to “thrive” in a global economy we need to learn how to embrace both online and offline resources, digital systems and traditional cultural practices. Everything we’re learning needs to stay within reach. A need exists to learn the value and opportunities presented by strengthening all areas of our economy at all levels.
We need to leverage all our resources. Not just natural resources but also digital resources and the power of our younger, knowledge-based culture.
