Together we can bring Green Jobs to Hawaii Island but we need your help!

We need to create model programs to train a greener workforce. Your idea could lead to funding, training and employment.

We’re looking for ideas in the following areas:

  • Renewable Energy
    • Solar PV
    • Solar Thermal
    • Hydro
    • Wind
  • Energy Efficiency and Analysis
  • Rainwater Harvesting
  • Sustainable Agriculture

    • Wining submissions will be given to an appropriate federal agency as part of a larger Green Collar Jobs Training Program Proposal for the state.

    Considerations for a winning idea may include:
    • Will the training lead to employment?
    • Cost of the training.
    • Does your idea support renewable energy efforts?
    • Does your idea support efforts to reduce our dependency on imported food?
    • Does your program offer professional certifications?
    • Is your curriculum nationally certified?
    • Is your idea innovative?
    • Is your idea supportive of our island’s employment needs?

    Important!
    The only way we can accept your submission is if you agree to totally give the idea away. We just can’t work with you if you can’t take the initial leap of faith and potentially share your idea with the world. If you’re not okay with that, keep your idea to yourself or contact us privately to work something out.
