Hawaii’s Digital Economies
We provide resources for green collar workers in Hawaii. Many of these resources start on paper, move quickly to the web where they live. The final format is often digital but more often becomes an exchange of knowledge in a classroom. Everything we do is an atempt to improve out digital economies.
Times are always changing in Hawaii. Possibly a sea-change. Food, energy , health and tourism all appear to be at risk. We remain extremely optimistic. The potential of the Internet to help remote economies and economic conditions such as those that exist in our State is tremendous. Even if nothing to promote and secure our place on the web, it is still happening. This post is much less about sounding an alarm but much more about identifying the issues.
As stewards of sustainability in Hawaii we are inspired to acquire, share and improve our digital economic perspectives. As providers of resources for green collar workers which include digital workers, we are comitted to organizing the resources and opportunities.
If you’ve been researching this topic of Digital Economies it’s important to know that we’re not alone. Although no results are available for “Hawaii’s Digital Economies” if I remove the quotes, Google currently displays over 200k results for Hawaii’s digital economies. Much of the work is being done at the University level. However, much more work is being done by a younger generation online that is consistently reinventing business models and expectations of second and third generation online systems.
