Green Collar Technologies is a federally recognized, 501c3 non-profit corporation registered to do business in Hawai`i with a mission to educate green collar workers on Hawai`i Island.

We research, organize, create and deliver educational opportunities. Our initiatives can help anyone learn how to live a more sustainable life while helping our communities build greener economies of scale to insure a permanent, thriving culture of aloha on Hawai`i Island.

It is out intention to help create a global model for sustainability on Hawai`i Island based in traditional culture and digital technologies.

We demonstrate the alignment of our mission with our initiatives through regular activity reports. With your help and support, we’re setting a new standard for non-profits on Hawai`i Island.

We have a special responsibility in delivering on our promises and we expect the same ethos from every person and organization we work with.

Green Collar Technologies has developed partnerships which benefit and educate green collar workers.

Green Collar Technologies organizes and develops training and certification programs which benefit employers and workers at all levels including low-income, persons with disabilities, and displaced workers in need of retraining to meet emerging workforce needs.

Green Collar Technologies’ advanced research into the Green Jobs Act and similar funding opportunities enables us to provide resources on several levels, including,

  • Workforce preparation which includes, change management, internships, certifications, web-based and digital resources.
  • Online data collection and reporting systems – for training partnerships and programs which support the Green Jobs and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act requirements such as, program participant metrics, demographics, received services, per participant program spending, completion rates, interference factors, job placement, retention rates, average wages and annual increase or decrease metrics, post-employment services
  • Hawaii Island Sustainable Services Directory – we are conducting research to help others identify sustainability projects, businesses and the people which organize and operate these efforts in Hawai`i. 
  • Development and Strengthening of Hawai`i’s digital economies – we shift perceptions in sustainability by providing examples of digital technologies which enable green collar technology workers to compete in a global economy. We believe a strong digital economy can lead Hawaii beyond sustainability and into prosperity.
  • We establish partnerships which help Hawai`i government and businesses convert paper-based processes into digital / paperless processes. We support and encourage virtual communication, organization, and management technologies which improve all stakeholders abilities to function, improve and compete globally.

  • GreenHawaiiJobs.com – a Hawaii Stimulus Funding and Green Jobs portal.
  • GreenCollar.TV – we showcase local videos of Hawai`i Island sustainability topics which provide education, entertainment and a single location to track the progress of the projects and people behind the many sustainability initiatives around Hawai`i Island.
