A sizeable adjustment to our vision, “Help create a global model for sustainability on Hawaii Island” has caused us to again step up our efforts to serve the island.
- Completed our third Sustainable Living Educational Series event in Kona at the Natural Energy Lab
- Created partnership with Goodwill Industries for Ola I Ka Hana Youth Work Program
- Deliverered Green Collar Training Program in Sustainable Gardening
- Deliverered Green Collar Training Program in Native Forest Restoration
- Deliverered Green Collar Training Program in Online Sustainability
- Created Green Jobs Training and Worker program for Hawaii State Workforce Development
- Joined the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Comittee and attended a mtg with Hawaii County R&D
- Attended Hawaii Island Stimulus Funding Meeting presented by Hawaii County R&D
- Participated as a vendor in the South Kona Earth Day Festival
- Last Kona Earth Festival Event of the year
- Conducted interviews for television show aired on local access channel
- Created the Green Collar Jobs Training Program
- Signed agreement with Goodwill Industries of Hawaii
- Signed agreement with Hawai`i State Workforce Development
- Currently working with seven training supervisors on 4 worksites – ends July 24th
- Final draft of the Green Jobs Capacity Report
- Submitted invoices to Sustainable Living Institute
- Meetings have changed to green jobs funding meetings
