Green Collar Technologies – The Third 90 Days
Here’s a few key points to report in Q3.
- In July we delivered a successful Sustainable Living Educational Series.
- Advisory Board – We’ve filled three slots on our advisory board. There’s a total of 5 of us working towards better education for a greener economy.
- Delivered a Web 2.0 and Online Marketing Educational Series in September supporting Digital Workforce development by providing two marketing workshops (press release) Also taught a beginner blogging classes in July, August and September.
- Research of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 provided valuable insight into fundingopportunities for Green Jobs.
- We provided testimoney in support of Resolution 731 for Green Jobs Research and training programs.
- We held a popular event in support of Green Jobs on Hawaii Island. Working with the support ofGreenforAll.org we put together a “Green Jobs Now Day of Action“ at the Hawaii Innovation Center to support Green Collar Workers.
- Presented at the Workforce Development office on “Going Green to Improve Your Bottom Line“
- Offered Professional Web Certifications via Scholarship Program
We’ve experiened some amazing successes. We’re hoping to secure a contract with the County of Hawaii in Q4 to support our upcoming Sustainable Living Educational Series. Funding or sponsorships of any-kine remain elusive. In Q4 we will redouble our eforts to secure funding for our programs including an effort to seek funding at the state and federal level. We continue to seek involvement from agencies and groups on Hawaii Island.
