Water Heaters Finally Get EnergyStar Rating – uh oh
Up until yesterday, hot water heaters were never given an EnergyStar rating. A lack of concencous on how to measure they’re lame energy usage was the apparent reason.
They should serious feel some shame for making millions of computer users waste time screwing around with their energy settings while their hot water heater is consuming around 17% of their total electric bill, completely unregulated.

I love how the article makes it seem like they’ve come to the rescue. Look for more building code changes and higher costs for consumers. Oops, there went your savings, again.
